THEY LIKE

Based on the stories of student dancers and how it was for them to grow up in 2018 as young adults that live with the internet and the pressure to be liked and followed every single day.

There is a fear of losing identity because they feel pushed, labeled, or cyber-bullied for who they are or what they stand for. Seeing many possibilities online creates pressure on top of the expectations from parents and school, leaving them confused or trapped. This is why they give in to social media where they can disappear from the mass of peers.

On the other hand, the internet can connect and allow them to build an online community of their own. Together with family and friends, who may teach them to be more indifferent to social expectations and to trust their selves more, they also learn to trust the future.
